Maine Food Processing Work Group

Maine Food Convergence Project and MEFTI co-coordinate the Maine Food Processing Work Group

The Processing Work Group convenes monthly to identify processing-related interventions that generate high impact shifts towards getting more local, culturally nourishing food to institutional and other markets.

The Local Switchboard Project

The Local Food Switchboard Project is an initiative of the Maine Food Processing Work Group. It is working to create an online database to strengthen connections within Maine’s local food system to increase local food processing capacity, expand distribution channels, and ultimately connect more local food products to Maine K-12 schools.
