Welcome Molly Standish! Colby College Intern Joins MEFTI to Advance Farm-to-Long-Term-Care Connections

Healthy Communities of the Capital Area Welcomes Molly Standish to the Food Systems Team!

We are thrilled to welcome Molly, a senior at Colby College, to our Food Systems Team as a student research intern from the Public Policy Lab. Molly will support research for the Farm-to-Long-Term-Care initiative across Maine, including a statewide assessment to better understand gaps, needs, and barriers. Funding for this research is generously provided by the Point32 Foundation.

A Word from Molly:

"I'm Molly Standish, a senior at Colby College double-majoring in Global Studies and Government. Originally from the Minneapolis area, my passion for local food systems began during an internship at Liberty Farms, an organic vegetable garden in Ghent, New York. That experience led me to get involved with the Colby Organic Farm on campus. I’m excited to be interning with the Maine Farm & Sea to Institution Network, supporting research for the Farm-to-Long-Term-Care initiative, and contributing to this important project!"
